This week we will be joined by Tyler, who will be answering questions sent into us at mailbag@thevinecast.com, as well as no doubt discussing (or denying, depending on how drunk he got) what happened at Vinemeet Chicago, which starts today...and who knows what else.

We will be also be getting a visit from Ryan Stolte-Sawa and possibly other members of Flotation Walls, who's debut album, Nature was just released.

As usual, we are up for suggestions of things to discuss, Viners to try to get on the show, and any other feedback you might have, which can all go to mailbag@thevinecast.com(along with any questions for Tyler, please please please send in your questions!).

In other Vinecast news, the Vinecast now has it's own twitter account for news, updates, ranting, etc, and we just scored our first official sponsor, which I'll be talking about on the show this week (and weeks to come if all goes well!). And don't forget to vote in the poll. I think each week I may put a new poll up and discuss the results on the NEXT week's Vinecast (so this poll will be discussed on episode 25)...not sure it'll stick, but I'll see how it goes.

I suppose it does seem to be moving in that direction...the meta heavy episodes always seem to get the most attention, so it could definitely stay very meta-filled for a while at least, if only to see if it's sustainable. Not sure if it will be consistantly pure-meta or not. If it seems like something people might want, I can see expanding to two shows, a Meta Vinecast and a non-meta Vinecast, maybe alternating weeks, or one each per week, or one meta only episode a month and mixed for the rest, or...I dunno...a balance could be found I'm sure

If anyone has an opinion on what that balance should be, please email me, comment about it, send me a message on twitter (@vinecast), etc etc. I'm all about the community feedback :D

Yeah, that's one of the things that I was worried about--maybe it's just me, but meta's interesting up to a certain degree, both when it comes to the 'cast and the content in the site--I know I came on here to run my mouth on crap involving politics and news and science and stuff, not about how much bloc voting sucks.

The expanding idea is a great one--hell, if I had a mic, I'd totally help on the non-meta program.

Updated the article with the url for the new chat page directly on thevinecast.com (instead of dealing with the talkshoe chat). Next up, finding a decent way to broadcast the recording live so we can avoid talkshoe altogether. Ah...delicious progress.

Should we mention questions here we'd like asked of Tyler. I listed others in your last vinecast piece but I have one more, a two-parter:

To wit, in Brian's article here, Mike D spelled out a very different explanation of how a new idea would work as compared to how Tyler has explained it. Which is right and can we get some examples?

Also Mike referred to gray areas to which I asked if he thought that everyone would have the same gray areas. can tyler address these "gray areas"?

Well, tonight's recording was unfortunately a bust. I'll be posting an article tomorrow about the whole ordeal and about a few ideas I have to keep the Vinecast going into the future. I'm taking tonight as one step back so that the Vinecast can take a big leap forward.

On the positive side, I have a pre-recorded interview with Flotation Walls that I may be releasing tomorrow or the next day, depending what happens, and it's a fun little 20 minutes...so that's cool.

I tried listening to the Vinecast last night. I even made it so far as "guest 23" and then I heard your voice say Hello guest 23 and then I went blank. I believe I was doing something wrong on my end but I did try.

Sadly, due to some scheduling issues there wasn't much of a recording last night. I'm trying to work something out for within the next day or 2 though. I'll be making a full announcement of the situation later today.

And sorry you had issues getting in last night. Those sorts of tech troubles are my biggest concern right now. By next week I should have a new way to broadcast the live recordings that will (hopefully) be far more stable and user friendly than talkshoe is and centralizing the recording/broadcasting/chat directly on thevinecast.com. Just working on some minor details, and then have to build some features into the site which SHOULD be done in the next few days.

No matter when the next recording ends up being, in the next couple days I'll be releasing a fun little interview I did with Flotation Walls...I'm hoping to have it be just PART of the next episode, but if the recording has to be delayed for too long, I may release it as a stand-alone bonus episode or something...not sure.

So much is up in the air right now, I really should take up juggling ;)

Yeah, there were SERIOUS talkshoe problems tonight, I'm really glad I recorded it locally rather than rely on the talkshoe recording. By next week I'm hoping to have everything worked out to be centralized on thevinecast.com (and EVENTUALLY transferable to be centralized on the the vinecast group page here on NV once it's got the fancy new features...whenever that goes live, heh). Thanks for having the patience to deal with the tech issues.

The podcast version, which will also include my as of yet unbroadcast interview I did with Flotation Walls last week, will be up tomorrow. Which means this episode is literally me, a complete interview idiot, interviewing two sets of people. lol...still though, I think it went ok. The more I'm forced to do things like that on my own, the better I'll get at it I suppose :)
